What's a friend.....no really?

What would someone have to do in order to be classified as one of your friends? I'm finding that there are very few people I'd actually call a friend. I haven't met any real ones since my freshman year.

my true friends are the peeps i just know have my back no matter what. That worry about me if im not in at a certain time, or will send hours with me while i rant n rave about the newest guy. That doesnt judge me, no matter what. most importantly someone i can trust.
I believe you have a few friends in your lifetime, that will actually be and do these things for you, so byou gota keep those lil bast++ds no matter what!!

Something we like to believe exists, but it doesn't.

I think it does. It's just very rare. I'm sure someone who thinks of you as a friend would be offended to hear you say that.

I always enjoy the answers "newbies" give the most. Trouble is you stop finding people like that after you get to college. Well that's how it's been for me.

I have someone that I classify as a friend. She always remembers my birthday despite the fact that I constantly forget hers and always sends a card at chrimbo. She is always there when I need a shoulder to cry on or someone who will listen to all my worries. She never makes judgements of me and excepts that at times I can be really blonde even though I'm not. If you know what I mean. :biggrin:

A true friend is someone that you can just be yourself around,have fun with and have good banter with. Also silence with a friend shouldnt bother you -like iv been to stay with friends at their holiday homes for a week or so and its not constant banter you can quite happily do your own thing and not feel awkward.

ah mate ive been on this site for about a year but ive had to get a new login, plus im in my 3rd year of uni and i believe ive found atleast two of the most f++king fantastic mates i'l ever have!! :flute:
