Career Swap?

What are the things to consider for career switching please.I think the Job Market for finding something IT/Tech related is too competitive. I personally don’t know what it’ll take and I am looking to get out of retail because I don’t want to spend another Christmas in retail as it would count towards my seventh Christmas. And I am 25 years old and I am extremely concerned and worried over the lack of progress I have made to get myself a proper stable job. The two careers that stand out to me the most is Policing and Paramedic.Although baring in mind I have Epilepsy and my new year’s goal is to successfully complete and pass my driving test in this current moment in time I have no idea of any other career I would wish to switch to apart from sticking with IT.

Any advice please? Thank you?

I think if you are drawn to Policing and Paramedic, I would probably look up the entry requirements for universities and go from there. Perhaps attend a couple of open days, or speak to friends/acquaintances who might have roles in those career paths. I know of someone who did a degree in engineering or IT (can't remember which) but is now working in the Met Police. So, it's entirely possible. Didn't get a separate degree, but applied with his current degree.
