Do I have a chance at Oxford engineering?

Hi

I’m a year 11 who is gonna take fm, maths ,physics and geography. I want to specifically apply for robotics and mechatronics

I want to apply to ucl, sheff, Leeds and Liverpool but I’ve always wanted to go to Oxford

Can I still apply to Oxford for engineering science if in year 13 I have a ps that’s abit more tailored to robotics?

There's not a lot of content that fits your interest and it says FMaths is 'helpful'.

I think there are wiser choices ...

Short answer yes, it’s an engineering science program so they would likely consider students with a broad range of interests. Robotics leverages lots of science in different engineering disciplines such as mechanical, electrical, control, software so you could argue a course which forces you to broaden your theory across different disciplines is highly advantageous for this area of interest.

Although the overwhelming area of concern for can you make a competitive application will be down to your academics.
