The Student Room Group

what do you guys do to help with your mental wellbeing in winter

i’m just feeling **** at the minute, i’m not sure what i’m waking up for, and i just want to sleep all the time
nothing seems to make me feel any better at the minute, so i’m wondering what other people do

Antidepressants, jogging, weights, brain training, socialising, drinking plenty of water / juice, multivitamin and cod liver oil supplements. Avoid alcohol, smoking, and recreational drugs.

Speaking to your GP would be a good place to start.

i’ve not heard many good things about antidepressants; i have friends and my brother on different kinds and i don’t think any of them have had any kind of positive effects

they might be a little excessive anyways, it’s probably just that it’s winter and dark all the time

im underage for drink and smokes anyways so safe there

but ill see about restarting my gym membership
