A level Chemistry

Heyyy! I’ve just started Year 12 this September and am really struggling with chemistry. I can’t seem to remember everything and wrap my head around the concepts. I got an 8 at GCSE but am getting consistent Cs and A Level and I don’t know how to improve. Any tips or revision methods or YouTubers/websites that simplify it? I am also lacking motivation to even revise any of my subjects because they all seem so hard (bio, chem psych) but especially chemistry. Help would be greatly appreciated

I was in the exact same position! Got an 8 at gcse, but regularly got 50% on my first few end of topic tests. I ended up with an A*. For me, first I’d watch a video (allery chemistry) on the topic to understand, then make flashcards on Quizlet, then do some short questions ( I used chemsheets) and finally topic-specific past paper questions on PMT. Hope that helps!

I would totally recommend TheChemistryTutor and Elliot Rintoul (they make videos for AQA), and then also Allery Chemistry for learning the content. The chemguide website is also super useful, because it has such clear explanations! Revisely and PMT websites have notes for every topic on the spec, as well as topic questions.

I hope this helps you!
