Motivation

New Year’s resolutions for being more motivated to study? I can seem to buckle down and just work how I used to and I don’t know what to do to fix it. It’s not even like I’m getting distracted, it just all seems too hard and I feel so stupid especially since being at the top of class in GCSEs but struggling at A level. I know this is the case for many but I feel so behind especially as someone who wants to apply for a very competitive university course

obviously everyone has their own motivations and forms of locking in. For me personally it was more so discipline, like i wasn't going to wait till Monday or new years or any specific time or day to lock in, I was just going to get up, go my pc and js do revision. Also this might be a tad extreme but i think of what my parents went through, like they struggled and sacrificed so much for me to have the opportunity to study, I'm not going to waste it out of laziness or chasing dopamine.

This is so helpful especially as I find myself waiting for a certain hour or something to start. Also I don’t think the parents thing is extreme at all, it’s important to be grateful for our opportunities esp as someone from immigrant parents
