Maintenance loan changed even after confirmed amount?

Hi, I am a 2nd year student, studying nursing.
I recently had to interrupt my studies for a few months so that I can get my first year stuff that I’ve missed in order. I’ve done that now and have been re-enrolled back into 2nd year.
The problem is that, when I re-applied for student finance in November, I had the full maintenance loan confirmed in the notification of entitlement letter.
However, when I check today, the approved payments have changed? I’m getting less thats suppose to be when my circumstances have not been changed?
I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me out as I tried to call but it wouldn’t go through and the web chat is acting out for me.

Hi there,
It sounds like this has happened because you interrupted your studies. For example, we need to recalculate your Maintenance Loan to account for this.
Did you receive the first payment back in September, or thereabouts?
