i am currently deciding which career i want to go into after graduating university and i was thinking about getting into Cyber Security potentially but i am currently lost on where i can go to gain the necessary skills so i can do the job

are you doing a cyber-security adjacent degree? like computer science or similar? regardless your best way to gain skills would probably be certificates online or going to hackathons, joining your university's cyber security society etc

Have you looked at applying for cyber related internships?
What are you doing to upskill yourself? Have you taken part in CTFs (Capture the Flags) etc?

i haven't looked into cyber security internships at the moment since i do not feel like i have the necessary skills to do the job effectively yet i am currently looking into applying for courses like the person above me suggested as for capture the flag i have not heard of that until now

If you're interested in the ethical hacking side of cyber, try HackTheBox - it's amazing! Does your uni have any cyber-related optional modules in final year? Might be another good way to go!

i will definitely give that a go my university does offer one cyber security related modules for the final year
