University Choices

Hi,

I have A-Levels predicted ABB and would like to apply for law at university

I am thinking of applying for University of Sheffield but they need AAA. I believe my personal statement and recommendations are good, and whilst I don’t exactly qualify for their Access programmes, I do have a learning disability listed on my UCAS. Is it possible that they would give me a conditional offer?

Also are there any good unis with BBC requirements just in case?

Contextual offers vary by university, so for some universities learning disabilities may constitute a contextual offer and for some it wont. Make sure you read up on the contextual requirements if this is your safety.

Aston University has a contextual offer of BBC for Law and a declared disability constitutes a contextual offer there.

LLB Law (Hons) in Law at Oxford Brookes University - 120 points / BBB, and likely to be more flexible if you missed your offer grades next August.

Hi @stickman1t!

It's great to hear that you're considering applying to the University of Sheffield for Law! I've really loved my time here at Uni of Sheffield so far (both the Uni and the city!).

I've found that the University do generally try and be flexible with reduced offers where possible. I would recommend getting in touch with the School of Law admissions team, who may be in a better position to answer your question on an individual basis. You can get in touch with them via chat, enquiry form, or telephone call- you can find the details of how to do this here.

Hope this helps! Do you have any more questions about the Uni that I can help with?🙂

In answer to your question about entry at BBC, the University of Buckingham could be a good option. The entry requirements range from BBB - BBC and employers are often impressed that you completed your degree in just 2 years. We also offer our students a range of work experience opportunities to build your CV whilst you study. We are currently ranked 6th in Law in the SE England in the Guardian League table 2025. Find out more LLB (Hons) Law (2-year degree) | University of Buckingham
I hope that helps
