Part time employment is your best bet, I know the job market is horrendous at the minute but everyone has got to get their first job eventually! Hospitality roles usually hire younger staff, maybe try more of those?

Hiya!

sorry to hear the job hunt has been draining ☹️ - when i was looking had tried indeed, local shopping centres websites nearby me and going into stores nearby & handing in cv.

With my applications, i had a cover letter, i was applying for a lot of very similar part-time roles so this wasnt too much work for changing slightly to tailor to whichever place i was applying to, would reccomend if you arent already doing this (:

hope this helps a bit, best of luck!

Carry on applying for jobs. You will get one eventually.
Try places like Mdonalds and other fast food places. They take on a lot of students.

I think it’s best to use indeed or if you have small businesses in your town/ city email them a copy of your CV. I’m in y11 and have worked at a local hairdressers as an assistant for over a year by emailing them my cv (I had no previous experience + no interest in eventually becoming a hairdresser) - local businesses are probably your best bet like cafes/ restaurants/ hairdressers and sometimes it’s better to find the email or even walk in and hand in your cv

Hi @Jimmy Butler IV

I agree that you should keep applying!

I have two posts here that might give you ideas of places to apply. They are often taking on new staff and so perfect for you!
Where to apply to Christmas temp jobs
Where to apply to a summer job

I also have a post with interview advice that might also be useful when you get to the next stages.
Interview Advice

I hope this helps and good luck
