Advice please: KCL Econ with Management

A summary from the 4 threads on this topic:

- Applied to KCL already
- A*AA predicted grades
- Psychology, Business, Maths
- Believes that psych and business are weaker a levels
- Believes they have a strong personal statement.
- Does an EPQ, which isn't considered by KCL
- Has a GCSE average of 6.8
- Believes that most applicants' GCSE average is higher than this.
- Applied in October
- Is worried about having to wait until March for an outcome to the application due to "lower grades"

Hi there, just to let you know that I've simplified things into 1 discussion thread for you because the 4 separate conversations isn't really how we do things on The Student Room.

Happily, I can advise you having read the content of all your questions:

1. Your grades are excellent, I think you're trying too hard to compare yourself to other people - you must have some very intelligent friends because your grades aren't weak in the slightest.

2. There are no weak subjects. If KCL have subjects they prefer, these will be advertised on the course page website. Otherwise, it matters not.

3. KCL has until 13th May to respond to your application. I'm not sure why March is in your head as a "I hope I don't have to wait until then" but we have previously seen applicants still waiting for decisions in late April / early May. It can happen. You seem to be certain that the reasons for the delays are due to you and your application. That is very unlikely. The reason this is taking so long is because of how KCL decides to review applications. Some universities will respond to applications as they come in (I got my first offer within 24 hours), others will wait until the January deadline has been and gone. Others will have different plans. It is entirely possible that nobody has actually opened your application yet.

4. KCL is one university, have you applied to any others?
