Distance learning due to disability and maintenance loan help

Hi looking for some clarification on my situation please.
Currently studying with the open university.
I get maintence loan due to disability preventing in person study.
Each module is 60 credits
I’m studying February 26 one module which finance has already been approved for. I’m thinking ahead to my next module and the next one will start in October 26. A few questions:
Will this by SFE rules mean I’m studying 120 credits this year or are they spilt across 25/26 and 26/27?
Will I be able to get full tuition fee and maintenance for the October module? I’m not sure what the cap is for my personal circumstances and best way forward.
I’m an independent student with dependants, low income, disability, haven’t been able to work for more then 28weeks and live alone outside of London. I’ve read through all the guidance online and tried speaking to sfe on their chat function but haven’t really got any clear answers specifically about my maximum tuition fee amount and weather October 26 will be fully funded but also the maintenance loan and weather I would be able to receive it again in October 26 and if my entitlement increases due to me studying at full time intensity. Thanks for any advise.

Hi there,

An academic year runs from September to September so you would still be in the 2025/26 academic year. It sounds like you will be studying 120 credits in the academic year. When you applied how many credits did you say you would be studying?

Thanks, Drew
