Degree human sciences or biology/biomed

I’m currently in year 12 and am considering if i should switch from business to chemistry. this is because im currently doing biology psychology and business which are varied however I want to go into something more biology based and right now i’m looking at 2-3 A stars hopefully based on recent reports so i want to apply to a london russel uni such as ucl kings imperial or queen mary. Right now ucl has a human sciences course which i don’t need chem for and queen mary biology/biomed doesn’t need chemistry either. However kings and ucl biology need chemistry. Kings has bsc anatomy developmental and human biology which looks really good and interesting but i’m still slightly unsure. Now if i stayed in business i dont qualify for that kings bsc however if i switched i do but im now going into term 2 of year 12 and have missed 1/2 required practicals so will need to catch up heavily however my teachers think I can do it based on my other subjects performance. If I didn’t do chemistry I would probably do human sciences at UCL. Please can I have advice on what I should do thank you!

Firstly, if you decide you really do need to do Chem you could do this as an extra A level in a gap-year. Secondly, RG means nothing significant in the real world, and you need to look beyond just 'London' for Uni choices to maximise your chances of an offer.

I was in a similar position in Year 12. I chose Biology, Business, English and History because I really didn't know what I wanted to do then 6 months in I realised I wanted to do something in science/research.
I was advised to look at Human Sciences at Oxford and went to their Human Sciences open day and loved it, it opens so many doors to many different science related careers. It's such an interesting degree.
So I stayed with the A levels I'd started and I've now got offers from UCL and Birmingham for Human Sciences, Durham for Life & Human Sciences and Cardiff for Biological Sciences (only need Biology surprisingly). I'm also waiting to find out if I get offered a place at Oxford for Human Sciences as that would be 1st choice. Durham is my second.
As McGinger said look outside of London if you can as there are other really good UNIs out there. Plus the 5 I applied to were actually the only ones who do Human Sciences type degrees so I didn't have much choice lol.
