AQA A level English Literature A

Hey,

I currently study: Othello, The Great Gatsby, Pre 1900 poetry, unseen poetry, a streetcar named desire, a handmaids tale, feminine gospels and unseen prose.

I'm finding it very hard to find revision resources online for English. I also do History and Psychology and I find it so easy to find things online and learn. I'm currently at A*AC with the C being in English.

The uni I want to go to requires me to have AAB.

Would anybody be able to provide me any revision tools/what I should do to boost my grade up. I used to love English, and got an 8 in both lit and lang at GCSE and I feel like its now the subject I hate the most as I'm not 100% sure on what I should be doing to revise and get my grades up - it feels like most of the revision that I do ends up useless.

I do Edexcel but some of my texts are the same (Othello, Gatsby, Streetcar). I would recommend planning and writing a lot of essays and then having them marked before writing them again. Feedback is the thing that will help you the most. Make sure you have all of AOs down (like argument/ quotes/ methods/ critics) but the thing that will help you the most is writing. Make sure you ask a peer who's getting an A/B or a teacher, so that your feedback is precise and you can see exactly what to improve on.
