harris westminister sixth form vs william perkin sixth form

so i have my HWSF entrance exam for chem and maths on the 17th, and i've heard a lot...
context: i have had pretty bad mental health through all of high school, and i didnt get too much support so overall i really just had to power through on my own. im very ambitious, and my last mocks had 99999888887 (the grade boundaries at my school are very high, and we are capped at 8s for some subjects). i want to do bio chem maths and go for bath pharmacology. would i be able to do this at william perkin, and would harris compromise my mental health? anyone who already goes to either school pleaseee give me ur experience
(i live much closer to william perkin than hwsf)

Sorry to hear about your bad mental health. My sister went to william perkins, and i went to twyford (a schoool thats part of a trust with william perkins). I do think you should go to harris westminister, as the gap in the teaching quality between the two schools is significant. For example, in my sisters year group and the year before that ther was no one who got into oxbridge, which talks alot about the ambition of the school. Along with this, i heard that there were very few people in william perkins who managed to get top grades (a's and a*'s) in chemistry, so this could possible hinder your ability to study pharmacology. judging from your mocks you seem pretty bright, so I think you should go to a school which will unleash your potential fully. Maybe you should look into going to twyford, I recommend it as it shouldnt have a serious detriment on your mental health (pretty relaxed school) whixh still manages to enable their students to get top grades. If its too late to apply to the school, you could turn up on results day with your grades and they might let you in.

twyford's an hour commute which is on par with harris. i was only allowed to apply to one of the two schools so i went with WP, but oh no thats really disappointing to hear as i'm familiar with the school and it seemed a lot more ambitious when i went to see around. what are your opinions on st dominics, as this is my plan c.

Not too familiar from the school but I know a few people who went from programmes outside of school who went there (probably a good indicator, shows that people at the school are proactive), and its also pretty selective its probably good. sorry i cant be of more help
