Student support at top Uk uni's??? - Want to study physics

Hi,
Basically, I am at the minute figuring out a list of uni's that I want to apply for to arrange for open days and things. As the title says, I want to apply for physics at top uni's (looking at Imperial, Oxford, Manchester, Durham, UCL) (Obviously I'm not gonna apply to them all!!!). But the thing is, I have been blessed with many medical conditions (namingly chronic liver disease) and although I manage well on the daily basis, I am on some quite horrible meds and with the illnesses themselves, I can get tired ect. I also have very little immune system, so colds and all that take me longer to get rid of and I feel a lot worse with them than the average person. With this, I would need a good support system. What are your opinions? Have you had any personal experiences?

-Note - I want to say the workload isn't the issue ( I am quite the workaholic!!!!) , but rather generally the support if I have to miss something because I'm ill/have a Dr's appointment.
Thanks

Oxford has a good welfare support system. All the Colleges have a part-time nurse and a welfare team who can make recommendations for adjusted teaching support. This can include using tech, extra time in exams etc. Most lecturers provide lecture notes and many lectures are recorded.

Something additional to bear in mind about Oxford is that the terms are very intensive and fast-paced. There's a heavy workload and, if you get behind for any reason, it can be very hard to catch up during term-time. As with any uni, some tutors are kinder/more forgiving and understanding about this than others. I'm not saying don't apply but I just wanted to add my tuppence to the post above about Oxford :fyi:
