Midwifery clearing

Hi, I have applied for children’s nursing for university next years and I know it is only January but I have already submitted application and got offers (3 out of 5) however I feel like I want to change the course which I have applied for.

I don’t wish to do children’s nursing so through clearing I would love to opt out and call universities (which are in London preferably as I wish to stay home) and ask for open spaces.

I don’t know if it’s a good idea or not and I am so scared that I would not be able to find a place.

Have any of you gone through something similar and or experienced applying through clearing for midwifery?

Midwifery is competitive so there is no guarantee it will be in Clearing on results day. If the unis you have received offers from also run a midwifery course, it would be best to contact them now to see if you can change courses.

Hii
Im planning to apply for midwifery through clearing as I missed the uni deadline it was a last minute option for me however, my friend applied for midwifery through clearing at SHU and got a place pretty quick eventhough her mentor said it’s super competitive and unlikely so I’d say go for it and ask at clearance if the have spaces left but it’s not guaranteed.

Hi as midwifery is a competitive course I would advise contacting the universities you have applied to and communicating your desire to change courses before forfeiting your space.
