Conditional offer at Newcastle
Hi, I’ve received a conditional offer from Newcastle University to study Politics and Sociology. I was wondering if any current or former students on this course (or a similar one) could share their experiences. I’d also love to hear from anyone else who’s applied for or is doing the same course. Any advice would be really appreciated!😁

Great news about your conditional offer to study at Newcastle University for Politics and Sociology!
One of the great things about this course is the amount of optional module choices there is. That means that you can choose what areas of both Politics and Sociology really interest you, from politics in different areas of the world to varying areas surrounding society and even touching on ethics.
Outside of studying the course, we also have a politics society that you can join who host a wide range of events from student-led debates, trips and visits across the UK and also host talks featuring influential political and cultural figures. There is the sociology society which is for those with a keen interest in society and the many questions surrounding it. Both are great ways to continue to enjoy your subject outside of studying it too.
The biggest tip for gaining more insight about the course is to attend one of our offer holder days where you can explore campus, learn more about where you'll be taught and chat to current students and academic on your course.
