Medicine work experience

Hi, I’m in Year 12 and I’m worried about work experience: I have spent a few days in a hospital shadowing doctors, and I’m starting hospital ward volunteering. I’m also going to do some virtual ones, and I have quite a few extracurriculars i can talk about related to science and some outside science. My grades are also pretty good. I was wondering if I should ideally get more medical (clinical in person) work experience? I am finding it quite hard because a lot of the ones i see only accept applications from a certain area.
Thank you!

Any extra experience you can get will be useful, but if you can't, don't worry about it too much. Since you're going to be volunteering at a hospital anyway it sounds like you're golden anyway in terms of experience.

no, you’re fine now. well done for doing the stuff you’ve done so far. the volunteering should be a rly good opportunity. this is all coming from someone who applied med and has gotten a couple interviews so far with 1 week shadowing wex, 6motnhs volunteering.

i did kings college hospital volunteering in the wards doing mealtime support x
if you can’t find a hospital thing tho then dw as long as you’re doing an appropriate role it’s fine, like care home or charity shop working with other people and stuff.

Honestly don't worry, You have done a lot, what the unis look it is how you are avle to reflect from your experiences rather than how much you have done, not only that your unfortunately UCAT score will also determine how succesful you are
