Drama school audition 2025/2026

Hi! I'm auditioning for the oxford school of drama acting foundation and have been given an early recall audition date and was wondering if anyone knows- does the early audition date have any effect on my chances of getting in? Do they ever offer people places on the day?

Early audition dates definitely help your chances! When it comes to BA auditions, applying early is crucial (I have unfortunately learnt this the hard way) as spots fill up before they've seen everyone.
Drama schools sometimes try to fill up spots on the foundation course by offering recalls for it to the applicants rejected from the BA course, so if you're planning on doing the foundation course you may find yourself up against more auditionees later on when the BA applicants start applying for foundation.

They don't tend to offer people places on the day, usually it takes a little while to hear back.
