Hi @evsurfer

I hope you are well! This is a good time to be looking at accommodation as the applications open around April time so it gives you a little while to have a think about where you would like to stay!

My advice on how to pick an accommodation would be to think about your own personal preferences. Do you want to be living in the city centre amongst everything or would you rather be slightly further out in a more quiet area? Do you want to be sharing with people, if so how many? or would you rather your own private space? There are so many things to think about but don't worry as there will be an accommodation that suits your needs perfectly!

For LJMU, this link, https://www.ljmu.ac.uk/discover/your-student-experience/accommodation/search, takes you to all the approved accommodation offered by the university. It has details on the location, price, and facilities etc, so I would recommend having a look through them all to see if any takes your fancy! I found the website to be very useful when I was looking for accommodation, I ended up noting down my top three and then deciding from that!

In terms of private accommodation and uni accommodation, it doesn't really matter which one you are in. Aslong as you find out some info about it and are happy that it meets your needs then that's okay! I would maybe say that private accoms like horizon tend to be abit more popular but again that is down to personal preference and the environment you want to be in.

I hope this response has helped, let me know if you have any other questions, I am more than happy to help!

Matt 😊

@evsurfer Hi, if you're still looking for accommodation, I do have a room available in South Bermondsey in a student accommodation place. It's 299 a week and there are shops and public transportation nearby. It also comes with a lot of amenities. Please let me know if you're interested.
