Part time job x Year 13

Does anyone else have a part time job whilst being in yr13 currently and has alevels this year in 2026.
I have work weekly every Saturday/ Sunday for 2-4 hours so just a tutoring session so I was wondering if anyone else has something similar and if so how do you balance everything to do with Alevels and work and do you think this work schedule is good?

I work part time on Saturdays, and it basically takes up my whole day. That's fine because my boss lets me have study leave whenever I need. It isn't tutoring though. Your schedule sounds good, but I would suggest that you bunch it all up onto one day and do it in the afternoons if not. Everyone works best in the mornings, and when you have worked on one day it is very hard to get back into studying. One problem with studying and tutoring is that when you have exams so will the people you tutor and they'll need help at that time. Are you willing to sacrifice some of your study time?

When i was at 6th form i had a part time job.
I used to work Friday evenings, saturdays and sundays.
I organised my school work so that i got as much as i could done after school. So on the weekends i didnt have much do do. I also used to make use of free periods at school to get work done.

Hi,

Organise your time to study in any free time you get both during school time and after work. 2-4 hours weekly sounds good, you’ll have the rest of the day off for yourself and to study. Although if it affects your studies then try and change your work schedule.
