Is it possible to go from CCC to AAB?

Im currently predicted AAB in bio chem and history and i got CCC in my last mocks but it was honestly due ot my lack of motivation and preparation. In my mind i dont think it's hard to go from AAB to CCC but everyone on here and around me says its very difficult. So honestly with my new routine (3 hours everyday on weekdays, exlcuding frees, and 5 hours on sat and sun) would that put me back up to my predicted grades?

Yes.

At the end of Y1, I was predicted ABB. After the Y2 September assessments, I was predicted BBD. After the Y2 November mock exams, I was predicted BBB.

However, I kept working hard (very hard) and I achieved A*AB in the real exams. What matters isn't your recent mock results but, rather, how much you're willing to work from now on, in addition to how efficiently, or effectively, you study.

Study technique also matters a lot. Study well and aim to study as much as you can.

Hi @sannaaaaaaa ,

It is definitely possible to make that progression, especially with your new routine. 😊

The most important thing is to stay consistent and focus on subject areas you are weakest in. You could determine this based on small end of topic tests you previously did, or go over flash cards to determine your weaker topics. Remaining consistent will give you the best opportunity to hit those grades, however also make sure to give your brain time to recharge as it will help with your memory! Hobbies, socialising and more are super important to remain in a positive mindset throughout this time.

I hope this helps, please feel free to ask me any questions,

It is definately possible if you work at it.
Keep disciplined, work hard and do plenty of past papers.

Hey @sannaaaaaaa,

With a structured revision schedule (with regular breaks!) and strong motivation, you can definitely move up a few grades.

There were lots of students in my sixth form in a similar position to you - they were good students, but didn't see the point or didn't have the time/motivation to revise heavily for mocks. Closer to exams, they were diligent revisers and ultimately did very well. You've acknowledged that you weren't very motivated or prepared for your last mocks; luckily, you have time to change this and do much better in your next set of exams!

Best of luck,
Eve (Kingston Rep).
