would my AS predicted results be important to uni applications?

not too familiar with how the system works yet, but i've been incredibly busy all winter and haven't had the time to study thoroughly for my AS mocks, and i doubt i would perform as well as i would normally.. would universities look at your AS predicted results during applications or are those grades not as important as, say your official AS grades or your A2 mocks? sorry i've been freaking out a little about it now TT

Hey @kathdoesthings,

Your official AS grades will be listed on your UCAS application, alongside a predicted A-Level grade typically provided by your teachers. Predicted A-Level grades can be based on a number of things - mocks, class tests, homeworks - and can usually be raised/lowered at the teacher's discretion or at the discretion of the head of year/head of subject. If your grades are otherwise strong, one or two subpar tests shouldn't make a huge difference to your predicted grade, but it would nonetheless be best to discuss it with your teachers closer to the time.

Hope this helps,
Eve (Kingston Rep).

Unis wont have the slightest interest in what your 'predicted' AS grades were, and since not everyone now takes AS levels, Unis tend to just ignore the final grades Focus on your A levels - they will matter.
