Eligibility for tuition loan for 3 year BA m after doing different course’s 1st yr

Calling SFE reps on here!!!

Im not from a lower socio-economic background but do rely on SFE’s tuition and maintenance loans. Will I still be eligible for at least a tuition loan for all 3 years for the course I’d like to transfer to Sept 2026 although I will have had a year of loans for my current course?

I'm not an SFE rep but you should be fine, as you are allowed finance for the duration for your course PLUS one extra year (for eventualities like this - changing course - if the need arises).

I changed course, I was funded all the way through, it was fine.

Hi there,

Are you currently on a full time undergraduate course and only have one year of previous study? When would your new course start and would it be full time or part time? What university would you attend, what is the full name of the course and how many years does the course last?

Thanks, Drew
