What’s campus life like in different Scottish unis?

I’m set on Scotland for the lower fees, but living in Dundee hasn’t been great and I’d love to know what the vibe is like at other Scottish unis. Do big cities like Glasgow or smaller places like St Andrews feel friendlier or more fun for tech students? 😊

Hey! I've been a STEM student in Glasgow for 6 years now and can't recommend it enough! Glasgow has some of the friendliest people i've ever met, we've got a saying: People Make Glasgow and it's really true  There's also 5 main universities plus several large colleges so Glasgow is home to over 185,000 students which makes it really student/young people orientated with so many people to meet all around the city. Glasgow Uni in particular has a really great student life set up- we've got 4 student run bodies- 2 social student's unions (debating, magazines/newspapers, event spaces, music venues, bars, clubs), a sports union (over 52 sports), and the Student Representative Council (radio show, theater productions, 100s of clubs and societies, advice and support, and class representatives in each course/year group) All to say that student's are fundamentally involved in creating our own student experience which makes it highly participated in and lively. There's something for everyone and lot's of social and career orientated tech societies and activities to get involved in. Please let me know if you have any other questions
