University of Glasgow Scots law offer

Hi all, I am doing A-levels and sent my UCAS application in November. I am predicted A*AA and sat my LNAT December 29th and it went alright.
If I got an offer from Glasgow, when could I expect it?
Thanks!

Hey, I'm no expert from from doing my own research and speaking to people who are currently studying Law at UofG, you can expect offers around March. Most people I know got an offer bang on March 31st which is of course frustrating because it is still a while away. That being said, it does not limit offers from being handed out between Jan-Feb time, although I would be very surprised if you received one then! If you put it into google (or perhaps I saw it on a thread here), someone put a Freedom of Information request to Glasgow Uni asking when their offers were made and it shows a table which about 100 offer being made Jan, about 60 in Feb and the vast majority in March. Try not to stress about it too much though - you have excellent predicted grades and if your LNAT goes well, then you have a very high chance of getting an offer, especially considering you are an English fee paying student - which the University will favour. Best of luck to you!

Thank you so much for your kind words! But I am a Scottish student doing a levels so I hope they still consider me!

Ah gotcha - must be a strath or fettes student. Generally speaking, private schools offer much more support for university applications anyway and from friends and fettes students always tend to receive excellent uni offers. Either way your grades are fab so you definitely have a good chance! Also it's important to note that the majority of people who apply for a Scots Law course are usually Scottish (with the exception of a few) but most English or International students will apply for the Common Law degree instead. So given you are a Scottish student, I'd say your chances are pretty high

Keep us updated though - I'm also applying for the same course so I'll let you know when I receive my offer

When I've looked it up, the general consensus has been that the University of Glasgow tries to send out decisions between early February and mid-May.

Nothing yet! Glasgow (especially for Law) don’t usually send out offers until the end of March so I wouldn’t stress. It’s a long wait but only because they have a high volume of applications to sift through. Anyone I know who received an offer last year got it on either the 26th of 31st of March. I think they send out contextual offers a bit earlier though…..Annoying but it’s out of our control! Sending you luck

Hiya, I got AAAAA in my SQA highers and recieved my offer a week after applying (I applied in the beginning of December). My offer is contextual, but only mentions the LNAT (at satisfactory) and no other grades needed. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that you’re doing A-levels instead of highers? Even so, I wouldn’t worry as your predicted grades are strong

Have you received an updated offer yet after your LNAT score updated?..I haven't 🫣

Any updates? I’ve still not heard anything 😓

Not yet, for me at least. If it puts your mind at ease, absolutely no one I know has heard anything even if they have straights As and a very good LNAT. Wouldn’t stress too much about it (easier said than done!) but offers should start coming through at the end of the month. Rooting for you!

My daughter just got an offer for Common Law at Glasgow - she’s so happy! Contextual and the offer was AAB (she does A levels).
