Open university

OU + Student Finance — maintenance loan showing dates but “Awaiting Confirmation”?

Hi everyone — just wanted to check if anyone else has had this.
I’m studying with the Open University. My Student Finance account shows my maintenance loan dates (like early January), but every payment still says “Awaiting confirmation — we’ll pay you after your university confirms you’ve registered.”
On my OU portal it says they only confirm attendance about 14 days after the module actually starts. My module website opens earlier, but the official start date is later.
Has anyone had this before?
Did your maintenance loan come through only after attendance was confirmed?
Roughly how long did it take after the start date?
Just trying to make sure this is normal — thanks!
