Part time distance learning

Hello, I get a maintence loan due to my disability and I study part time as a distance learner. I’m wondering do I get maintenance loan each year or is it just once per each level of my course? Sorry if that doesn’t make sense.

Hi there. For returning student's, if the most recently accepted medical declaration or medical evidence was received within 6 months of the new application, the maintenance loan can be awarded and we don't need to request a new form.

If the medical declaration or medical evidence is older than 6 months, a new medical declaration will be required to continue awarding the Maintenance Loan for your next year.

Thanks, Leah.

Hi Leah, thanks for this. I am wondering what happens with future years. How many years will I get the maintenance loan for ?

Hi Cameron841,

You need to apply for funding each academic year.

If you are continuing, the most recently accepted medical declaration or medical evidence that was received within 6 months of the new application, this will be usually be accepted.

Thanks, Clare
