Criminal convictions mistake on ucas application

So I just got an email from the university I applied to saying that I indicated I had unspent criminal convictions on my application form.

I was confused as I don't have any and didn't think I said that on the application but checking back it does say "Declared" (which I thought meant I declared I didn't have any but apparently not).

They sent me a form to fill and email back with extra information on the conviction. Do I just fill this in and say no on the section that says:
"I confirm that I do have an unspent criminal conviction(s)
Delete Yes or No to leave the correct answer remaining"

Or do I just contact them and explain I made a mistake on the application?

And will this affect my chances of getting an offer back? I feel really stupid for making this mistake.
This might be the most common undergrad application error, and has been for many years. Quite why UCAS don't amend the wording is beyond me.

If the uni has sent you a form, just amend it to declare that no, you don't have any convictions. The uni will be very, very familiar with this response.
