resitting a levels

I realised I haven’t updated in a while so here’s how it’s going:

positives:
- Ive finished AS maths started doing past papers
- finished AS chem edexcel

if anyone’s got some tips on ways to get better at math that would be great!!

negatives/
some topics in math are very challenging and i fear i won’t be done in time
I have been starting to feel overwhelmed w uni work and studying for resits I often end up skipping some lectures and didn’t revise as much as I should have for the december exams bc I was focussing on my A levels
Also bc it’s a foundation course I think the lecturers just hate us and there’s this one woman where I don’t even go half the time because she is genuinely just rude all the time and doesn’t want to teach.

Congratulations on your maths and chemistry!
I do not know how challenging you would like your content to be, but I do love the site MadAsMaths myself! I use it for A-level maths and fm,, It is free to access! Some of the questions will have difficulty indictators (For example two stars ** means the question is not so hard, and ***** / ****+ is very challenging and usually out of the specification!)
I think it could help if you ever need help on the bigger maths topics (esp Integration & differentiation)!
Maths & Physics tutor also has plenty of questions for you, AS and A-Level alike, and with practice of past exam questions on specific topics, you may find it very useful,,,

Otherwise, keep practicing these questions is how I would suggest you improve!

If you do not mind me asking though, how come you are resitting A-levels but at university? I am dearly sorry to hear of your horrible lecturers,,,

thank you sm!!
craziest thing is that i do well on the integration n differentiation topics but its basic stuff like surds and proof which I’m struggling with. and the wordy problems.

Long story short I wanted to take a gap year to resit and reapply and my mum wouldn’t let me and it basically ruined our relationship because she’s forced me to go to a uni i don’t want to be in. I know people think “you’re 18/19 now your parents can’t decide for you” but mine still do. I can’t get student finance so i literally have no choice bug to do what she says lol. it’s not biggie now though

- started Year 2 chapter 1
- currently at 1.3 partial fractions not incredibly difficult but still challenging when it mixes different techniques
- starting kc in chem, one of my stronger topics so just a few questions needed

Hey! How have you been getting on? Retaking is tough (I did it myself!) so I applaud your hard work
