computer science offer holders

hi, i have offers for all 5 of my universities, Sussex, Lancaster, Liverpool, Winchester and Plymouth for computer science 2026, does anyone who has any of them want to connect? Currently my top choice is Sussex but am planning to do all of the offer holder days as I’ve only actually visited Sussex, Lancaster and Winchester.
thanks!

oh, congrats! You got into liverpool, that means they believe you'll do well!!! so i would suggest to get on the grind, cos i know YOU CAN DO THIS!!!
and what made Sussex stand out to you?

anddd about me,
i do bio chem maths and yeah mines kinda weird too, and many say it's the typical "med combo" :/
i dropped further maths before even starting a-levels, and dont rlly regret it cos it doesnt make much of a difference now anyway + not worth the stress :P
the local uni which i will prob firm/insure forgot about my contextual offer 😓😭😭😭
im even in their contextual outreach programme whilst in year 12, and i put it in my application like they told me to, and i think they forgot it ( im eligible for it ). im planning on emailing to them about this. hopefully i get that grade reduction... cos one of my friend is also on it, and got 2 grades reduced, and im supposed to get it tooooo :frown:(( or maybe they just hate me ;-;

oh no, that’s a shame on your local uni :frown: thanks about liverpool, yeah i applied as my reach and even if i don’t go there it’s a nice little achievement.
sussex i just found so friendly, me and my mum went to visit and we could picture me living there, i liked the idea of it being super close to brighton and the seaside and the campus was lovely, not too big and not too small. i loved lancaster but the reason why i put sussex above was because the accommodation was nicer at sussex, at lancaster the en-suite was like a wet room which put me off and also they offered less in terms of the fact you have to apply for study abroad straight off the bat in your ucas rather than signing up later on and it was higher boundaries for study abroad, and there was no placement options unless you did a masters.

i’m not sure actually, i saw online that it’s possibly got some kind of pathways into Apple scheme (which is something i’m super interested in) but i’m not sure if that was true so maybe it’s a question to ask on offer holder day. it’s got huge connections in the AI world if that’s interesting to you, as they were one of the pioneers of AI technology

I applied to and got offers from Kings College London (KCL) , Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield and just waiting on University College London (UCL)
i probably wont go to Sheffield, probably not Manchester either, l'll go to kcl, ucl or leeds.... leeds could give me scholarshipssss so yeah but all 5 have strong industry links, since all r Russell group and it's on the student to do a lot of stuff since they give a lot of resources, so what i understood is that if u do a lot of side projects and other activities outside ur degree, it'll be good for ur cv and they would help with strong careers, so strong graduates are usually sought out by these unis... they also have career talks regularly ....so yeahhhh if i go to leeds then i can just comfortably live at my amazing home as well, so im kindaaa leaning towards that, haha! leeds uni also has quite nice ambience, its a lively city, and is the uni is very modern (the classes dont look dull at all compared to some of the other unis ive seen) and has really good study spacesssssssssss and yeah , i feel like i can meet like-minded people... and also get to do my own projects 😀 but either way, im just excited to start, wherever i end up, since i like all my choices, and i just get to do my own subject related stuff (alevels are eating my brain) :biggrin:

Hi!

Glad to hear you are interested in Lancaster! If you have any questions i'd be happy to help. I am a 2nd year Computer science student and can recommend it so far.
One thing to properly consider is would you rather live in the south or up in the north?
