Classics degree prospects

From what I’ve read, a classics degree seems like my dream degree with the only major concern being job prospects.
I’ve researched a little online, but most websites only give general suggestions of job sectors looking for a classics degree, rather than actual examples.
What are some reliable and well-paying jobs accessible wirh a classics degree/what kind of post-graduate prospects are there?

A Classics degree can absolutely lead to strong, well‑paying career paths the key is understanding how the skills translate and how you can position yourself. It’s true that most websites stay vague, but in reality Classics grads end up in a surprisingly wide range of industries because employers value analytical thinking, communication, research ability, and cultural literacy.

Some concrete examples of well‑paid and reliable career routes that Classics graduates go into include:
1. Marketing, Communications & Branding: Marketing Executive / Manager, Copywriter or Content Officer
2. Publishing & Editorial Work: Editorial assistant, Academic publishing
3 Law (with a conversion course) Classics students perform extremely well in law conversions because the skillset is similar.
4 Museums, Cultural Institutions & Heritage: Heritage project officer, Museum education coordinator, and

A Classics degree doesn’t limit you as long as you build relevant experience alongside it. I have a Philosophy degree but I took art in marketing internships throughout university so that i had some experience when applying for marketing graduate roles.

I hope that helps,

Same as any other degree i.e. the vast majority of generalist grad schemes and roles, which range from e.g. financial services (accountancy, investment banking, management consulting), the media, the civil service, law (may require a conversion depending on route), generic business/managerial grad schemes if various types, charities and NGOs, the heritage/arts sector, and of course teaching (school) or continuing in academia (which eventually usually involves teaching undergrads and postgrads, as well as research).

If you mean things specifically using the classics degree knowledge the list is shorter, but bear in mind most graduates don't do anything related to their degree, and most employers are not recruiting graduates for their subject specific knowledge but for their ability to learn how to do complex tasks independently and make key decisions critically.
