Alevel improvement tips!

Hi, I have my Alevel mocks in April (2nd-3rd week) and I want to get AAAA (+A* in my epq).
In chemistry when I do tests, I did minimal revision and so far I’m scoring C’s.
In biology, when I do tests I get C’s too.
In maths, when I did tests I got E’s…
In polish, well I haven’t done any exams yet so idk my grade.

What should I go from now until April or even the end of the academic year to achieve A’s and get an A* in my epq?

Thank you!

Hey @N1c0l3z,

I would recommend creating a study schedule, focusing first on raising your grade in Maths. Whilst AAAA is quite far away from CCE, it is possible to achieve A's by April with effective and consistent revision.

Try to identify what you're struggling most with right now - are you unfamiliar with the content? Do you struggle to grasp the concepts in Maths/Biology/Chemistry, or do you understand them in class and forget to build on them outside of class? Have you been making full use of past paper resources?

Once you begin to directly address the areas you're struggling most with, you should see an improvement in both your overall subject understanding and your grades.

Hope this helps and best of luck with your A-Levels,
Eve (Kingston Rep).

I think my main struggle is that I don’t exactly review the content I learnt in class, I just sorta float by and cram a few days before my topic tests/exam. I don’t think I also utilise exam questions properly, like I just do them, mark them and that’s it. I’m not too sure how to learn from them properly? With chemistry, I understand the content, I just don’t know how to apply it in exam questions. With biology, I sorta understand content but also don’t know how to answer exam questions properly. With maths, I get overwhelmed looking at the questions and make careless mistakes.

Thank you for the advice!
