GCSE help

Im currently in y11 and as you all know it's January now. For some context before I get to my main question, my mocks were completed in Nov after the half-term break and I'm getting my results next week but I've got my marks already so I can make an educated guess on the grade boundaries. I really need some tips like for my physics mock exam I did every single question which could come up and that's all I did. Can I get some tips, I know past papers and other stuff work but like what would a typical study session genuinely look like for a grade 9 student as Im so lost. I realised my potential too late and I have wanted all 9s since the y10 mocks. Plssss anyone

hey I’m y13 and I got 9999999987D*. I would say the biggest thing is doing past papers as you said. Blurting is really helpful!! I used it a lot for chemistry and history. For physics I used past papers and mostly focused on the maths and then closer to the time I wrote out some marl schemes of six markers on flashcards and read thru them a few times. For history, while it depends on the , do practice questions and essays and hand them in. For English read!!!!! Read in ur own time, and hand questions in a lot. Try to plan various questions, and for language for me I ended up focused on the first half of the paper as I didn’t enjoy the long creative question my nailed my technique for the shorter ones. For both lit and Lang use complex phrases like, the author uses character x as a vehicle to portray the theme of.. then show evidence and analyse that. For Spanish, the main thing is know tenses like the back of your hand. Focus on getting as high as possible in writing and speaking as this is so much easier if you know tenses, use a great variety, and use complex phrases which bring in subjective such as “si tuviera mas dinero… (if I had more money) (+ infinitive +ía(eg iría meaning I would go), cuando sea mayor (when I am older, (+infinitive +é… iré = I will go), so try to score top marks on those. For re I made mind maps of almost all the content and then when I finished that I did some questions and handed in 😉 Goodluck!!

in terms of study sessions I would typically focus on a couple subjects each day. For me I had mocks in June of y10 and then November y11 of paper 1 science so then in January I’d start going over paper 2 content that I hadn’t studied recently and same with other subjects
