Well it would be a good question to ask how affordable are the living costs at Bristol ? I've never been to Bristol but apparently it can be equally as expensive as living in London ? Thanks

hi! which accoms would you say are the most sociable + diverse? also, the accommodation process isn’t very clear to me from the website, so do we apply for accom first and then book a specific room after results day? i already have an offer but I’m still waiting to hear back from two other unis, so I’m worried that the longer I wait for all my choices there’ll be less accommodation available. i’m not really sure how it all works, sorry 😭

All accom on the Vale is really good for social aspects, especially Chamberlain, Shackleton, Mason and Tennis courts.

The accom process admittedly is awful. You’ll get an email at some point before you do your exams asking your preferences for flatmates and stuff, just make sure you do it.
Then on results day, the uni randomly select people to book their accommodation in different time slots (first come first serve for each time slot).
It’s really stressful but they do hold certain slots of all accom for each time slot, so don’t fret if you don’t get to book accom till 4 days later you still have an equal chance at all accom.

Hope that helps!

Heyy, I just sent my UCAS application off yesterday. I was going to make Birmingham my firm so I just wanted to know what its like teaching wise (e.g. the amount of support, quality of teaching etc). Also as I don't really care about the nighltife, are there other events and stuff that are fun that people can participate in? Thank youuuu

Hey, so for me (Economics and Politics), I’ve found teaching to be amazing, especially for the economics, as well as the lecture support, like they respond really quick and explain well.
Dependent on what you like in terms of fun things, but there is a lot going on always outside of night life. At the student union there’s stuff every night like quizzes and activities. Societies are great from my experiences, and I’ve picked up two new sports since being here really easily. There is something really for everyone tbh

Hi Also, do you know if we put our 6 preferences down when booking accom before exams? I Just applied and didn't have the option to rank any specific accommodation -is that something we do after results day? Thanks

If I remember correctly, I didn’t rank any accom, it was just asking me about flatmate preferences, budget preference etc. unfortunately ALL of the choosing accom happens on or after results day
