RGU midwifery 2026

Submitted my ucas application today for RGU midwifery 2026.
I’ve waited so long to do this left school with no qualifications so finally got the qualifications I need and my health back on track!
The waiting game is killing me already waiting for an interview 🫠
Anyone else applied?

Hi all

Well done for those who had there interview and those who are awaiting to do it. ...

Don't panic about when you will hear from Robert Gordon university of outcome of your interview because they have to notify yous one way or another and because they will probably be interviewing thousand of applicants for approx 80 places on the midwifery course they decisions will be difficult to choose who they think will make fantastic future midwives for NHS Scotland.

You only have university west of scotland in Glasgow and Edinburgh Napier university for midwifery degree courses for whole of Scotland. The total overall for all 3 universities is around 250 places every year.... Don't know how they worked this out but truthfully that's not enough midwives covering evey square inches of scotland, definitely need to take more students in to make up numbers that is actually required.

NHS Scotland band 7 senior charge nurse midwife ( I did mine at Edinburgh Napier ) but currently working under Greater Glasgow and Clyde health board as from Glasgow.

Good luck with everyone who's applied and hopefully all get a offer.

Awh thankyou so much!! was honestly thinking that would be the case and wouldn’t hear for a couple of months after every interview is done. Thankyou for the motivation! I’ve applied to both west and Napier aswell but RGU is my first choice! thankyou again!
