What was the maddest thing that happened on your school trip?

I'd love to hear some stories :ahee:

In Year 5 (I think), we went to the University of Cambridge Botanical Gardens. The trip went well, except at the end, the school left most of the Year 6s at the Botanical Gardens and the school only realised when we were halfway back to school.
Honourable Mentions:

A Teaching Assistant in Primary School once left my father in charge of a group of Primary School kids.

In Year 3,one of my classmates had to go to hospital during a residential trip because they burnt themselves on the campfire.

In Year 10,the Queen died on the way back to Thorpe Park which meant the coach was loud and I didn't belive the news as the first person to say anything got the news from Tik Tok.

Everyone on my school vacation had to flee outside in their pajamas after someone unintentionally triggered the hotel's fire alarm in the middle of the night.

Hotel fire alarms in the middle of the night are annoying. It usually happens because someone didn't see a sign/know to close the bathroom door when running a bath.
So I've been holding back on my own stories:

In Y10 we were kicked out of a restaurant in Ypres after our teacher upset/insulted the manager. We may have stolen a bottle of freeway cola on our way out. Fun times.

On the same trip our coach broke down. While it was parked ON THE FERRY. Got home at 1am, 5 hours later than planned. And the 1am was into my birthday as well!

Speaking of coaches, we did a week in Austria where on the journey there someone smashed one of the windows (just the interior pane). It was an accident, but was still reckless. I still don't know what happened to the boy on the trip.

Those are some incredible tales! It sounds like a real adventure to be ejected from a restaurant and have a coach break down on a boat. Even if it wasn't particularly enjoyable at the time, it was undoubtedly memorable!

we had french police rock up to the Ibis in Boulogne because we were shooting at pedestrians and passing vehicles with spud guns and plastic BB guns
Went on a 6th form trip to Wales from Monday-Friday in year 13. There was quite a bit of drinking going on (the ones who werent 18 yet were allowed to drink in the bar at the guest house. Our school were the only group there).
