portfolio for Norwich university of the Arts

I'm currently working on my portfolio for the Film Course at Norwich, and I'm trying to figure out what it should contain, while they've said what's needed for it, there isn't as much detail as I'd like, any tips/advice for stuff i should have in there specifically?

Hi, I have this thread I created about portfolios, including some specific tips for film - but always refer to the specific course guidance first and foremost. Hope this helps  https://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/showthread.php?t=7597072

Hi! It's great to hear you're considering a course in film, our Student Rep, @StaffsRep Oliver , studies Creative Media Production with us - so will let you know from a student POV what is good to include in your portfolio.

We also have more general portfolio advice, here. Whilst not specifically for our Film course, we offer a course in Concept Art for Games and Film which might offer some more general tips.

Best of luck with your application, portfolio and interview.

Links to your productions, proof of pre-production, concept building, evidence of experience using software, collaborating with other students on projects, inspirations etc!!!!

hey! As a media student I thought I could share some of my tips! Personally, in my opinion I'd make sure that you show off your overall skills like cinematography as well as your camera-handling skills like making sure your iso and focus are set right, and also id make sure to not forget that film is not just the visual aspect, I'd also include your sound skills such as sound editing or just showing off your ability to use sound to suit your needs. Hope it goes well!!
