Could good work experience substitute for grades slightly lower (SLT)?

I’m currently in year 12 and want to peruse a career in SLT.

I have work experience lined up to shadow a SLT in both a hospital and a centre (helping children with learning disabilities), as well as a school with a specialist SLT department and just a regular lower school. I am also planning on volunteering in a stroke unit and a care home.

I am equally as focused on my studies, however I am worried I might not meet the entry requirements (typical: AAB).

I have only been doing sixth form for a few months, but so far my predicted grades are BBB. If my grades stayed as they are could good work experience possibly substitute? I am going to try and do everything I can to get them up, I was just wondering in anyone has ever experienced their experience pushing them through.

Hi, my sister is a speech therapist. Your experience is more than my sister needed to get in, best of luck, and make sure to choose a uni you enjoy - don't choose solely based on uni prestige, though thats important, choose the right community. My sister says looking back she wishes she'd chosen a campus uni rather than a city based one, as she enjoys access to green spaces. Meanwhile I absolutely loved York and love living in unis where there's loads of student societies. You got this <3
