How to start nursing or medicine with low GCSEs?

I've got a grade 2 in GCSE English but I'm retaking it at college. I don't have A-levels yet. Are there any good online options for progressing to nursing or medicine in the UK? 😊 Any tips from people who did a similar route?

I don't believe you will do well at A levels within next two years.

Does your collage offer a course in socal care, HCA etc that includes work experience?

I think your best option would be a HCA apprenticeship, then get experience working as a HCA while doing the level 3 NVQ (or whatever they called this year!) Then aim for a nurcing associate degree apprenticeship, this can then be updated to a full nurcing qualification.

Something like https://www.jobs.nhs.uk/candidate/jobadvert/E0233-25-2494?keyword=Apprenticeship&skipPhraseSuggester=true&payRange=0-10%2C10-20&language=en. Ask the hospitals near you what apprenticeships they offer.
