University Choices - Bath or UCL?

I am currently indecisive between studying Data Science at UCL and Computer Science & Artificial Intelligence with a placement year at the University of Bath. I feel like Bath’s course is more appealing because of the placement year, giving me industry experience. However, UCL ranks significantly higher in global tables for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (QS World Rankings) and also benefits from a strong academic reputation and links, but that too comes with the higher cost of living associated with London.

Ultimately, what matters most to me is long-term employability, practical experience, and a strong teaching and research environment in which I can grow the most professionally while building a strong network of contacts.

No contest, Bath would be my choice. League tables are flawed and can't be replicated mathematically. The placement year at Bath is excellent.

Are you choosing the last of your final five?If not go to the offer days and see which you prefer. If last choice Bath because of placement year
It's hard to beat a placement year and I gather Bath has a pretty strong industrial placement scheme/track record.

That said do look at the differences in the courses because data science is not the same thing as CS (with or without AI).
