Hi everyone!
With the main UCAS application deadline coming up soon (January 14, 2026, at 6 pm UK time), we know many applicants are feeling a mix of excitement and pressure. If you’re applying this year, now is the time to make sure everything is on track.
So, what does the deadline actually mean?
Submitting your application by the UCAS deadline ensures that universities will give it equal consideration. This means your application will be reviewed alongside all others submitted on time, rather than being considered later only if places remain available.
A few key things to double-check before you submit:
✔️ Your personal statement is final, proofread, and truly reflects you
✔️ All choices are correct (course, university, entry year)
✔️ Predicted grades and references have been added
✔️ Your application status in UCAS shows everything as complete
If you’re still undecided or feeling unsure, that’s completely normal. Reach out to teachers, advisers, or university support teams. Asking questions now can make a big difference. Remember, it’s better to submit a well-prepared application slightly earlier than to rush at the last minute.
And finally: don’t panic. Thousands of students go through this every year, and there is plenty of support available to help you through the process.
Good luck to everyone applying. You’ve got this! 💙🎓
