Hey, I’m interested in doing law but just wondering what your experience was like studying at Glasgow as a uni in general?

Do you have any recommendations of societies, fun event and good study ares and or anything else (food, events etc.)?

Cheers

I had a great experience overall. The university is in the west end of Glasgow which is itself a vibrant area with loads of food and drink venues. There's a wonderful mix of historic ancient buildings, but the university is also building lots of new buildings just now too. There are so many societies and there will definitely be something for you, and the great thing is that you can try something and decide if it's for you or not. My advice would be to follow your interests but also don't be afraid to try some new hobbies and meet new people, I think that university is just as much about growing personally as it is about your degree and studying :-)

The library is good for studying, but you also have the round reading room, the JMS building, and there's lots of study space in the newer buildings too. I used to often study at one of the many west end cafes which are often filled with students during term time.

Glasgow has so many places for food and drink that I couldn't possibly name one individually, but you will not get bored if you like eating out! There's also cinemas, theatres, live music, parks etc. Hope this is helpful!

I got 5As in my highers and received an uconditional offer for economics, but the system works differently in Scotland as your exams in your second last year of school are most important for the majority of degrees.
