Hi @kinzaaaaaaaaa

Great to hear you have applied to Kingston!

In terms of grades you just have to wait and see what you get, juts be aware and research your options when you find out such as clearing or doing a foundation. Then you make a decision that suits you the you get your grades and offers.

If you have any questions about Kingston feel free to ask, I would be happy to answer

Hi there! 😊

It’s great to hear you’re feeling much happier after switching to Psychology, Clinical and Cognitive Neuroscience - choosing a subject you genuinely enjoy makes such a big difference!

In terms of your application, please try not to worry too much. At Royal Holloway, we look at the whole application, not just predicted grades alone. Strong GCSEs, a clear passion for the subject, and a good personal statement all play an important role. Many students apply with a mixed set of predicted grades, and it absolutely doesn’t rule you out.

For Psychology-related courses, we typically look for interest in the subject, academic potential, and motivation - and it already sounds like you’ve got that! If Royal Holloway is your dream university, you definitely did the right thing by applying. You’ve given yourself the chance, and that’s the most important step 🙌

💬 If you’d like to hear directly from current students about Royal Holloway, you can chat with them here. They can share real experiences and tips about living on campus, studying your course, and student life in general.

Wishing you the best of luck!

Best wishes,

Thank you so muchhhh this is a really uplifting reply!! I got an offer from royal holloway for ABB! Im overjoyed at the opportunity but im really worried that ill just get rejected if i get below that becayse chemistry is my weakest subject and I think i could scrape a C. My personal statement was labelled as great by all the teachers who read it and someone who even came to my school from royal holloway for feedback and help on personal statements. Are rhul flexible with accepting students who get below the conditions?

Hi @kinzaaaaaaaaa

We just want to reassure you that it’s completely normal to feel a bit anxious about meeting your offer conditions, especially in a subject you find challenging. While offers are made based on specific grades, final decisions can depend on a range of factors, including the course and how close your results are to the offer conditions. Every year, some students who just miss their grades are still accepted, so try not to worry too much.

We’d recommend chatting with our Admissions team, as they’ll be able to guide you further and provide more specific advice for your situation.

Good luck with your exams, and we hope to welcome you to Royal Holloway soon!

Best wishes,
