The Student Room Group

Hopefully, this ends with a degree in medicine and an amazing job in general surgery

Hello, I'm Tades. At the start of the year, I made this elaborate study plan, and now, barely three months later, it has fallen apart. I am going to try to pick up all the pieces and hopefully achieve all grade 9s by July 2027.
Year 10
Targets Currently
Biology: 7
Chemistry: 7
Physics: 6
English Language: 5
English Literature: TBN
Mathematics: 5
Spanish: 5
Geography: 8
BTEC Music, aka The thorn in my side: Level 2 Distinction*

Currently have a banging headache, but it will all be worth it.

I use Seneca, Sparx, Corbettmaths, Cognito, Savemyexams, and YouTube in general but I wish I knew how to use Anki, because so many people say how great it is.

Flippity Flop, the work experience placement deadline is on Friday. I've called fifty million schools and looked in double the amount of stores. I am cooked and I hate school.

Good luck 🤍

tbh with these current grades it’s looking like you might jus get those 9s x

I just finished two more pages of my BTEC music Component 1 coursework. How do I still have a headache? I am going to start writing some chemistry flashcards and then watch an episode of Rick and Morty, or two.

I just did a ton of biology revision on Seneca. I haven't really done that in a while, because biology is just so forgettable.

Learn to use Anki or get quilt, I use quilt more, I have the premium on it I recommend but I used the free version from my GCSEs I got all 8s and 9s, I basically just learnt the content then did the flashcards I made based on the content and exam questions and watched videos of exam practice or revision. Seneca isn't great but if its work for you then continue using it. I recommend flashcards its active recall so will really help. Good luck

I've never actually heard of this, but I will try it out. Thank you.

Sorry, but I tried to find Quilt on both Google and the App Store and couldn't find anything. ~Perhaps there are other keywords I can use?

Sorry typo, Quizlet. If you are taking separate sciences, here is my quizlet account, I have bio chem and physics GCSE flashcards on there, they are pretty in depth can be messy. and maths gsce is on there but idk how useful since I used lots of videos and exam practice questions for maths rather than my flashcards but I think the basic stuff is on there. Anyway have a look if you like, for reference I got 8 in maths and bio and 9 in physics and chemistry, I did edexcel for those 4 subjects, I now take all sciences for alevel. Good luck

Oh, thank you. I'm sure when I get the hang of it, it will be really helpful.
