Studying in North America

I have been looking at continuing my degree in New York at Brooklyn college, hopefully doing an undergraduate course if that is correct. I recently just passed my level 3 childcare apprenticeship with a distinction at my nursery setting and have passed my level 2 functional skills English which is meant to be an equivalent to a gcse, but I haven’t done my maths as it’s not required in the uk. Is there any chance someone could give me advice to how these grades would work in the USA and if I’d be applicable to going to college in New York, what exams I would have to do to be applicable in USA I assume they still do entry exams over there but just wanted a little more information as I have been researching but I can’t find much advice, thanks kindly.
