Can I crash Higher geography?

I don't know if I'm getting ahead of myself or not, but I've been looking at uni courses and most of the ones I want to do require higher geography. I didn't pick geography at Nat5 so how feasible would it be to get an A at Higher with no previous knowledge? I've been memorising my friend's N5 geography notes and quizzing myself regularly. Is it possible? Thanks!

Hey, I do geography at A-level. If you havent done many practice questions, make sure to do them! If you have memorised all then notes, then the most important thing is applying it to practice questions, and there are many available online. Try to plan some questions that could potentially come up too.

Hi. I've heard that Higher Geography can be a 'good' crash-higher because a lot of it is based on memorisation.

I'm in S5 now, and when picking my subjects for S5 I realised that Higher Business is a subject that I would likely need for the career I want to go into after uni. I hadn't taken it at nat 5, but decided to crash-higher it. So far this year, it's the subject I've got the highest grade in, and business is all about memorisation.

I was definitely nervous at first taking a crash-higher, but I've ended up really enjoying it. I bought both nat 5 and higher textbooks for business, and I've not needed to use either yet.

I hope this helps, and if you have any more questions, feel free to ask me. 😊

Wow thank you! Glad you’re getting good grades in Business too. 😊 What method of mémorisation works best for you?

No problem! I find writing the information on flashcards and then reading over them works best. Once I begin to remember the information, I do past paper questions, not looking at my flashcards for help unless really necessary.
