The Pros of Kingston From a Current Kingston Student

Hi everyone,

As many of you are starting to make your decisions on which university to go to or make your firm choice, you might be starting to make pros and cons lists. So, I thought I would help you with your pros list for Kingston 
Here are some of my pros as a placement year Fashion Promotion and Communication student:

1. Location!!
For me Kingston is a perfect location. I feel I get the best of both worlds with being able to easily and quickly get into London to explore the museums, restaurants, shops, nightlife and more. But the I also love coming back to Kingston which has lots of nice outdoor spaces like the River Thames running through it. It is such a safe area, and everything I need is in walking distance.

2. Student Union/Societies
I have found there to be lots of great societies at Kingston. It is a great way to make friends or learn something new. I joined Cheerleading.

3. Facilities and Support
The facilities here are great, with libraries that I can be productive in and a Careers Centre that has helped me secure a placement. My lectures all have strong industry knowledge and lots of great advice.

4. Student Life and Nightlife
With being close to central London and the great societies I feel there is great student life and nightlife here. Again, I go more in-depth in this post Social Life and Night Life at Kingston - The Student Room
