Help with student finance advice? 💸

I’ve applied to uni and want to know more about student finance. What's the best way to apply, and are there any tips or things I should avoid? Any advice from current students would be appreciated!

Hi, current student, I would say applying for student finance is relatively straightforward, you just follow the instructions on the government website. If you have some money saved up and are considering how much money to take out for the loan, there are calculators online where you can check how long it will take to pay off your loan. I realised that I will never pay it off so I might as well take the higher amount. Also, give yourself some time before the deadline to complete it as it is quite long, especially if you are applying for more than the minimum maintenence loan. Additionally, ensure each year you re-register with your university (they will send you an email) as otherwise your loan can get delayed.
